Specialty MS care, right here in Interior Alaska.

Why a Dedicated MS Clinic in Fairbanks?

Multiple Sclerosis affects more than one million people across the U.S., including many of our neighbors right here in Alaska. It tends to show up more often in women, with most diagnoses happening between the ages of 20 and 50. While research is ongoing, we know that the farther you are from the equator, the more common MS becomes. In northern latitudes like ours—roughly 45° to 65°—cases are seen more frequently, likely tied to less sun exposure, lower Vitamin D levels, genetics, and our unique environment.

Alaska-specific numbers might be hard to pin down, but given our long winters and the challenges of staying Vitamin D-sufficient, having specialized neurological care close to home isn't just a convenience—it’s essential. We believe you shouldn't have to travel thousands of miles for expert monitoring and the latest treatments. MS likes to hang out where it's chilly, and honestly? We’re just the right kind of cool for it.
